COURSES FOR BUSINESS & GOVERNMENT:

ALL ATSI Mental Health First Aid courses typically run for 3 days, however at Nice1 Training & Design we can offer the course of an evening (split over 4 nights), and weekend courses (split over two weekends). We feel that all persons should have the opportunity to undertake this great mental health education program.

Training your staff and team in the area of mental health awareness is a great investment. With the current economic situation in Australia, mental health disorders are unfortunately going to become a more common occurrence in every workplace. This is a hard but truthful fact. Making your team 'aware' of mental health disorders could result in a 'preventative-care' mentality - for example addressing the problem before it becomes a problem (i.e. a problem where 'sickies' and time off work are required).

At Nice1 Training & Design, we offer you ATSI Mental Health First Aid for your team. We recommend that you HOST your own course to get the best bang for the buck so to speak, and at Nice1 Training & Design, we can deliver training to your team/s over a period of week/s, months and years (depending on employee numbers). CASE STUDY: General Practice Network NT (Alice Springs), recently hosted a course for 20 participants. Participants were located from in and around Alice Springs area (and Indigenous Communities). Participants ranged from Indigenous service delivery agent representatives, nursing staff (clinical and non-clinical), police officers, teachers and other government organisations. Total cost of this training was less than a $20k* investment (*excluded catering and facilities hire).


COURSE FAQS COURSE PRICES HOW TO HOST/BOOK A COURSE
All courses will be delivered by a fully qualified Mental Health First Aid Instructor. $650 per person is a base price for ALL AMHFA Business/Government courses. GST additional. All courses not paid by an Individual are classed into this rate. Please make contact with us via telephone (MBL: 0424 141 030) or email: mhfa@nice1.com.au. One of our representatives will run you through all of the costs and options and customise a course just for you.
All courses will only be delivered once 15 persons have confirmed or secured their booking. This is a far more cost effective option for Nice1 Training & Design. $300 per person is an additional charge if the course is held external to Cairns, Queensland. This amount is to absorb travel and accommodation costs incurred by your Instructor. GST additional. Our calendar will show ALL courses available (hosted or individual). It is possible that you can book your course for 10 people and have your team sit within one of our other courses (hosted or not).
If you come from a small business, govt. department or organisation, it may be hard to HOST a course for 15 people. Given this if you can provide us with the names of other interested parties in your area, we can make contact and try to fill the remaining 5 places (we may offer the course to other individuals your area). Full payment of the course will be required 14 days prior to the course - this is to allow for travel, accommodation and ordering of stationary and course materials. We are able to host a course for 10 people (no less), however each participant will be charged at $1050 per participant (inclusive of all costs - instructor travel etc).
Upon completion of your course, you will be presented with your official certification certificate. This is an industry accredited course. A photo journal can be provided to your organisation at an additional cost of $50 per copy. This is based on a 10 page photo booklet branded with your company logos.  
Your certification will be valid for 1 year only (as like any first aid course), and a 1 day refresher course will be required in a year's time, Nice1 Training & Design will send you a reminder of this. A video diary with interviews of participants, hosting body representatives, and other persons can be provided at an additional cost of $1500. This includes video production, post production editing and 5 DVD copies. Additional copies will be charged at $15. This is a brilliant tool for evaluative processes and funding justification.  
Course materials and light refreshments will be supplied at every course. We can accommodate for special food items (diabetics, vegetarians etc). A cancellation charge of 25% will be incurred if course is cancelled within 7 days of scheduled course date. 100% charge if you do not attend course for all or part of the course.  
If hosting your own course, we would be happy to use your training facilities, however Nice1 Training & Design will be able to source and provide facilities at an additional charge.
